This is an event opportunity appropriate for groups or communities in any city, state or country. It offers a multi-faceted approach to engage, educate, and build community through the medium of handmade Felt. Activities include Placemaking Workshops, masterclasses for sharing traditional techniques of felt-making, stitching patterns on felt, as well as contemporary approaches such as using Felt as a projection screen for visual storytelling, educational events, and exhibition installations, all tailored to meet the diverse needs of each community or organization and appropriate for any skill level.

This video link offers an intimate view of community-based projects by artist Janice Arnold, evolving from the 6,000-year-old tradition of nomadic feltmaking. The stories unfold over a series of years, involving hundreds of people of all ages, walks of life, and ethnic origins who bond through a communal heritage of making things together. In the process, they share stories & skills, creating friendships and experiencing firsthand the healing power and relevance of this nomadic art form in the community and around the world.
